Another town with great shopping, as my suitcase still missing, I broke down and bought a few blouses and a dress, I guess by know I am never going to see my clothes ever again. I could kill, however, not need to get mad about something I can do nothing about.
I been calling Aer Lingus every day, they don’t even ask who is calling any longer, they know my voice (and accent) by now. Oh well, it’s just clothes.
I been a shopaholic all my life; however, I only buy a few thing at-a-time. Before my trip, my daughter and I when in a shopping spree, I bought a whole wardrobe, I did not want to bring old clothe with me, besides, I had a lot of business suits and work cloth which was unsuitable for back packing. Of course the first store we went was Antropologie (I love that store). There are two Antropologie stores in Charlotte, NC, one in the South Park Mall and the other one in the North Lake Mall, of course we went to both, but we always do that anyway.
I also bought all new underwear at Victoria Secret, and needless to say, all my creams and toiletries were in the suitcase because you are not allowed to carry anything in your carry on any longer, just little things, so…
I had my two new bikinis and one tankini in my back pack as well as some clothe and some little toiletries, so not all was lost.
Oh well, enough complaining, it is gone, so I just have to buy a whole new wardrobe again, that’s all.
Now back to Solihull.
I just happen to go on the last Friday of the month, to find out that every month they have an outside market. It is a small market, with many fresh vegetables, beautiful big free range eggs, with orange yolks, they even have turkeys and ostrich eggs. Of course a lot of food, in one tent, they had a whole pig on a rotisserie, just beautiful; by 3pm, the pig was gone. In another tent, they had Greek vegan food, falafel, caviar salad, delicious. In another one they had ostrich burgers, it was OK. Ostriches do not have any fat, so they are very healthy to eat, however, due to the lack of fat the burgers were very dry.
The town is nice, very English. I will be back.
