The end of a journey, the beginning of another one.

When I was a little girl, my favorite show on T.V. was “Adventures in Paradise”, about this gorgeous guy that traveled through the south pacific in his tall ship.
I kept on thinking that I wanted to do that when I grow-up.
A year later, another show that I liked came out:  “Route 66”, where these two guys drove up and down that famous road in their convertible.
Of course, when I grow-up I wanted to do that too.
Since I was a little girl, I always wanted to travel, to go places, to learn different cultures, different languages, to see the world, and that’s what I been doing for the last 3 years, one year  in the states and two in Europe and South America.
As I am getting ready to return home, due to circumstances I will explain later, I start to write my blog about my travels (better late than never).
I am sad to bid farewell to Europe, nevertheless, I am happy to the prospect of seeing my daughter and granddaughter.
As I prepare for my flight I look back to these last few years, to everything I’ve done, to everything I’ve learned, to everything I have seen, and I am happy with my life.
I will keep on traveling in the USA, visiting all the states I still have not seen, and then back to Europe, back to the beautiful countries I have seen and to the ones remaining, to the great people I met and the ones I will meet, and to new adventures in this wonderful world of ours.
The last couch I surfed was in Madrid, in a home with 4000 books (and I thought I had a lot of books), where this great host showed me a great time, and I could not ask for a better place to bid farewell.
