Fake bloggers vs real bloggers

Doha, Qatar

I never had much self-discipline in my life. I usually start with a bang, and after a while, I pause for one reason or another and next thing you know, some months had gone by, and I do not renew whatever I paused.

Obviously, blogging is not an exception.

I won’t make excuses about how difficult it is to write when I am galivanting through this world and having so much fun that I don’t have time to sit and write. Because let’s face it, I have plenty of time.

Anyway, I never liked to post pictures of me in my blogs. I like to post photos of the places I am talking about.

However, a couple of years ago, I met a guy that is a blog photographer. He takes pictures of the places and sends them to a blogger in the United States, and the blogger writes about these places without having been there. I guess the blogger has a large following because he can afford to pay good money for the photographs. Anyway, at the time I thought that was terrible because many people like me visit these places for real and not many people read us.

Anyway, a few months back, I was with my granddaughter in Croatia, and we met another blog photographer. And this time I got mad. These bloggers are lying to the people about the places they have been, when in reality, I guess he Googles the information.

So, with that in mind, from now on, I will be posting pictures of me so everybody can see that I have been in the places I write about.

Granted, I don’t have many photos in some places because I don’t take many pictures of me. Besides, my phone landed in the toilet some months ago, so I lost many, many pictures.

However, from now on, I will take pictures of me, even if I had to do a selfie.

And this time I will try to blog without a pause. (ha-ha, sometimes I make myself laugh)
