Uruguay

The Oriental Republic of Uruguay is a country in South America.  It lies between Argentina to the west, Brazil to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the east.
Often called the Switzerland of South America, Uruguay remains a country of peace and prosperity.
It is the second-smallest country in South America, and it is a charming little country with a flourishing tourism industry.
Uruguay is a lay country, neutral, with legalized same-sex marriages, a high literacy rate, an independent press, and off shore banking.
An estimated 95% of the population is of European descent mostly Italian, Spanish, English, French and Swiss, having immigrated in the 18th and 19th century and Germans and Jews in the 20th century.  Now-a-day, many Europeans and Americans are immigrating to Uruguay due to the economy, opportunities, weather, beautiful beaches and the relaxed way of living.
