As I seat in the ferry waving good bye to England, while the seagulls flight over the ship, I feel happy because I am going to the Netherlands to a new adventure. At the same time I am sad because England was such a wonderful place, with wonderful people, I will miss it, all the green pastures, so lush, well, they had better be lush, with all the rain.
As I was walking to the train, the sky was pink, letting me know that it was going to be a beautiful day to cross the North Sea.
As I look to the horizon into the disappearing England, all I see are the windmills, and I think it is funny because I am going to the land of windmills.
The sun is out, reflecting it rays into the sea, such a beautiful day. The sea is so tranquil, so beautiful, so relaxing.
The ferry leaves at 9am, so I bid farewell to Coventry yesterday afternoon. There is not straight train from Coventry to Harwich, there is a bus but the times did not work. I went to London Euston; there take the tube to Liverpool St. and another train to Colchester, where I spent the night at the home of a fellow CouchSurfer, otherwise I never would had made the ferry on time.
The ferry is nice; there is a movie theater, two restaurants, a boutique, a casino, a bar, a cafeteria, and places for children and teenagers. It is just like a mini cruise.
I love the sea, the rocking of the waves, the tranquility, the smell of salt in the air. Just beautiful.
The trip takes 7 1/2 hrs., so unless you are like me, that you can spend all those hours looking at the sea, bring a book, or something to do, or you can always take a nap, after all, the rocking of the ship is very enticing to it.
Finally, we start seeing land, as we approach it, you can start seeing the windmill, it is such a nice sight, even that now a day the windmills are just a straight pole with three blades, there are not like the windmills of times pasts, still, I like it.
