View of Rayong Beach from my room |
My host, her sister in law, mother, and beautiful Mali, went for the weekend, to this beautiful beach resort, that is only a two-hour drive from Bangkok.
We got a suite at the 4-star Kantary Bay Hotel, right across the street from the beach. The hotel had a bowling alley, so the plan was to go bowling that night before going to bed.
The small U-shaped beaches, with clear water and sandy beaches are gorgeous. The water was not that cold, so it was great. Well, I guess here the waters never get too cold, after all, it is always hot in this part of the world.
The area is beautiful, well, I am a beach bum, so of course, I was happy being there.
And to make it even better, that night we went to eat at Talaymeeklern Restaurant, and because of my allergies, they prepared all my food separately, so I was able to eat!!! And that I did. Besides, the place is beautiful, right on the river and across from the sea. And the food was delicious. And what can I say about the service, it could not have been better. If you ever go to Rayong, go to eat there, you won’t be sorry.
After gallivanting all day, and a big delicious dinner, we never made it to the bowling alley, we went to sleep.
In the morning, I went for a very relaxing dip in the water before breakfast. As I was drying, I notice that there are these beautiful flowers all along the beach. As I was commenting on their beauty, I was told that they are wild flowers, and that they are good for when you get stung by the numerous venomous jellyfishes in the water. Needless to say, I did not bathe again.
You have to give credit to mother nature for growing an antidote where you need it.
